Basics

Who is this site for?

The focus of this site is endurance athletics. It is open to anyone who would like to join.

Registration

How do I become a part of the community?

You can join the community by clicking on "Join Now" at the top of the page and answering a few questions.

I understand email address, but why do I have to give you my name, birth date and ZIP code?

The information is to better serve you. Your name gives us the ability to address you properly in emails and other communications. Birth date is required for age verification. ZIP code allows us to better provide local information for your needs.

Why must I be 18 years old to register?

Unfortunately, the online space can be a dangerous place for minors. If you are under 18, you are welcome to read all of the articles and conversations. However, we have restricted the access for minors to post or create profiles for their safety.

What do you do with my profile information?

This information is kept under the strictest confidence as outlined in the Privacy Policy. Providing information to your profile is optional.

Commenting

I've read an article, how do I provide my comments?

Make sure you are logged in - if not, please log in or register if you are not a member. Go to the article you wish to comment on and go to the bottom of the article. There will be a section there to add your comments.

Editorial Policy

What rules must I follow if I write an article?

In general, information should be topical and of interest to the community. Please ensure that all work is your original work - please avoid posting copyrighted material or works that are not your own. If you'd like to reference another site, please do so by creating a link to it versus copying information from that site.

In addition, since this is a community, please ensure that the information you are posting is not generally offensive or inflammatory. If it's not something that you would bring up in polite company, please refrain from posting it to this site.

Also, please refrain from making libelous statements on competitive products or other products. Opinions are always welcome, but must be presented as the member's opinion.

Who owns my post copy?

Unless otherwise acknowledged, the member owns all aspects of their posted commentary.

Tags

What are Tags?

A tag is a relevant keyword or term that you can assign to an article you write. It helps us categorize things so that they can be easily searchable by our users. For example, if you write an article about training for a marathon, you could choose to tag it with the following words: running, training, or marathon.

Images

Why don't my images show up when I upload them?

All images must be reviewed before they are posted to the site in accordance with our moderation policy.

Rating

How do ratings work?

If you are a logged in member, you can rate any article or conversation by simply clicking on the stars at the bottom of the text body. Once you have determined the number of stars to rate something, the site will lock in your rating. These ratings are aggregated and the cumulative scores are displayed next to each article. The ratings are used to determine popularity for searches.

Somebody has posted something that is offensive, what can I do about this?

You can click on the Report Abuse link next to any article or conversation - alternately; you can go to the Report Abuse section under help. We will ask you to describe the abuse. Your feedback will help our moderators determine if they need to pull an article.
